Pests in shops
- Mice and rats in stock rooms, under shelving and behind fridges and freezers
- Stored product insects in flour, rice, pulses, spices, pet food and bird seed
- Cockroaches around chiller motors and staff kitchens
- Pigeons roosting on signs, canopies and ledges above the entrance
- Flies in food shops and around waste
Convenience stores and food shops
Shops selling food are food businesses and must control pests effectively. Deliveries are a common way pests arrive, so check goods coming in, rotate stock and keep the stock room off the floor and tidy. We inspect, treat, proof and leave records you can show an inspector.
Non-food retail
Clothes, furnishings and other non-food shops can still have rodents, and textile shops can be affected by clothes moths and carpet beetles. We tailor treatment to the stock you sell.
Shopfronts and pigeons
Pigeons on signs and canopies cause fouling above the doorway, which is unpleasant for customers and slippery underfoot. We fit spikes, wires or netting to stop them landing. See bird proofing.
How we work
- Inspection of the shop floor, stock room, back yard and staff areas
